Artscape Opera House
Sean Bovim's SwingTime at the Ballet returns to the Artscape Opera House stage after scoring an unprecedented success last summer. Following a public cry for much, much more, Bovim has added an extra act, calling this new extended work SwingTime and More.
SwingTime and More is a musical trip down memory lane highlighting the versatility of the Cape Town City Ballet dancers, incorporating dance styles such as tap, jazz and big-band show dancing, to the sounds of Cole Porter, Nat King Cole and Frank Sinatra. |

The new third act will take place in the seamy interior of a New Orleans jazz club.
Bovim's work takes the audience on a nostalgic journey through music and dance, using both instrumental and vocals from jazz and blues artistes of the past.
