SwingTime at the Ballet, premiered at the Artscape Theatre during December 2003, and became an instant success. Within days, the word had been spread and tickets were selling like hot cakes. The Cape Town City Ballet, South Africa's premier ballet company, had a hit on their hands and reveled in the glory.
SwingTime at the Ballet is a musical trip down memory lane and highlight's the versatility of the Cape Town City Ballet dancers, incorporating dance styles such as tap, jazz and big-band show dancing, to the sounds of Cole Porter, Nat King Cole and Frank Sinatra.
